Done lists
Recently after attending a wonderful workshop from The Rebel Rousers (@megkissack) I’ve started to implement a new type of list: Done List
To be honest I’ve never been a list person, and its not because I don’t need to get things done but I prefer to remember what needs to be done inside my head and get everything done as soon as I possibly can or I set calendar reminders or snooze the related email until I know when I can get it done. Or maybe its because I find it overwhelming to see a list of things I need to get done in my daily life.
What’s different about the “Done List” is more of a reflection tool and to summarize what I’ve done during the day. I started on Tuesday 10th and have been keeping up so far. Its not so much a list, more like a Done bullet. What I find useful is that it reminds me how much I get done during the day and how much I’ve accomplished. The tasks could be as simple as brushing my teeth, or cooking meals, or it could be “I had a job interview”, or I completed the financial analysis on my project at work.
“Done Bullets”
It basically helps me keep track of everything that I’ve done, so when I look back on this week I went “whoa! that’s a lot, I’m pretty amazing !”
Key highlights for me this week:
Attending a Yoga/Ayurvedic workshop to learn about transitioning to the Autumn season
Figured out my life purpose…. this is pretty huge, shall leave it for another time to dive into
Went to they gym twice this week
Found an amazing Chiropractor after my original one left town a year ago
Working through how to manage myself when setting boundaries with my teen and showing empathy
Gratitude for peace in my life over here on this side of the world amidst all the turmoil, fighting and wars going on.
